She sits staring out, a darkness within her grows, she wants to leave, but how? She stares at the rain running down the window, where would she go?, where can she hide?, She used to love sitting here near the fire, but the cold is always in her heart, it never warms. She watches one drop as it makes its journey down, she is past sad, cried too many tears, suffered too many bruises. The door opens, whom she has always feared enters, mutters something and ascends the stairs, She looks out once more, notices through the rain a single rose, a wonderful red, she smiles, happy to see such a sight. slowly, painfully she rises from the chair, winces as she straightens herself, walks across the room, the light of the fire shining on the object in her hand. She pauses, looks around the room, spotless as always not a speck of dust. Climbing up the staircase, the pain leaving her mind„ she walks into the bedroom, he is laying there, smug grin on his face, hers emotionless. She moves towards the bed, suddenly he spots something different about her, what is it? he starts to sit up, confusion appearing on his face, she is by his feet, looks at him, and feels nothing but happiness, she knows she has to do this, to end the misery, to have a life, she leans over and whispers in his ear, terror streaks across his face, he has no time to react as she swings and strikes the knife across his neck, she dances in the fountain of blood that escapes his neck, she rubs it over herself in a almost sexual way, when the flow stops, she sits for a minute, has a bath and then goes and walks out of the door, and just walks and walks, with a smile on her face.
