Surrounded by the still, quiet machines
what was once warm
is now cold ice.
Laying there in a white bed,
like Snow White.
His arms are so thin
a mummy with no wrappings
clutching that little blue outer space pillow
his eldest daughter made him.

He's surrounded by tears
And little teddy bears.
Lips peck at his forehead
and whisper their last goodbyes.

The white light floats up
past the ceiling
to the sky
past the clouds
to the joyous golden gates.

Escape from this world of pain,
Hell.
And entering a world of everlasting peace,
Heaven.
