**Completed** Kara Gregory has always been the overachiever at her school. She's the one with the 4.3 GPA and the editor of her high school paper. She doesn't party, she doesn't go out on the weekends. Instead, she stays up all night editing and writing articles for the newspaper and studying for her classes.

So when she meets the obnoxious, hot, Oliver Carter she knows she's in trouble. She tries her hardest to stay away from him, to control herself in his presence, but his dazzling good looks and charming personality always seem to get in the way. He's the rival school's star quarterback and Kara's twin brother's arch rival, so everything is against them getting together, right?

But for some reason, Oliver still wants to be with her after the constant cold shoulders and insults. Will Kara take the chance of being with a guy who could possibly ruin everything she worked so hard for? Or will she leave him in the dust and continue on her lonely quest for school Valedictorian? Will Oliver be a curve in the road to just pass by and forget or the prize at the end of the it?

Kara Gregory has always been the overachiever at her school. She was the one with the 4.3 GPA and the editor of her high school paper. She didn't party, she didn't go out on the weekends. Instead, she'd stay up all night editing and writing articles for the newspaper and studying for her classes. She didn't like change and she didn't like people who tried to control her.

So when she met the obnoxious, hot, Oliver Carter she knew she was in trouble. She tried her hardest to stay away from him, to control herself in his presence, but his dazzling good looks and charming personality always seemed to get in the way. He was the rival school's star quarterback and Kara's twin brother's arch rival, so everything was against them getting together, right?

But for some reason, Oliver still wanted to be with her after the constant cold shoulders and insults. Would Kara take the chance of being with a guy who could possibly ruin everything she worked so hard for? Or would she leave him in the dust and continue on her lonely quest for school Valedictorian? Will Oliver be a curve in the road to just pass by and forget or the prize at the end of the it?
