Friday Night at the Victory Caf/div>
It was a brilliant night
This Friday evening, this night
Destined to be something different
than other.
They came to the gourmet cafe
Ready waiting to watch
The knotted and chained moose
This
tour de force
escape momentarily
the tedium of mediocrity
to an imagined unpredictable bigger place
to enter the clean forest
to run and wonder freely for great distances
discover new pastures.
In the sunny weather of may
with full grown antlers
in accurate and objectivelines
dangerously charged
stomp rotted versification
romanced the night
with full games
blunted the rocky ground
distinguish themselves with singular prints.
The Canadian landscape knows their names
And every year they are hearkened here
To transform this rocky soil
Until it is not longer rough ground
Buta moose carved stone
A pointed pear shape
Monument.
