A poem of how a man defeats a woman.

Bruised and broken.

I spent drunken nights, and countless mornings with you.

I spoiled you in each and every way.

You chose to scream at me for every little mistake.

screaming back and forth,

tears streaming down my face..

I finally give in, to you.

I was trapped, like a dog in it's cage.

I forgot what it was like... to think for myself.

Bruised and broken

you never really deserved me.

charming me with your smile, awaiting me was evil.

Turning into threats..

Phone rings and rings, your only calling to tear me down.

I let you control me, I repetitively came back for more.

Bruised and broken

How could you say "I love you",

turn around and call me filthy names?

What kind of man do you think you are?

the kind of man that breaks down a woman just because he can?

insecure, little man.

I won't let you break me down anymore.

for I am stronger than you think.

my tongue is thick with words, of wisdom.

Bruised and broken

running away from you.

happy ever after...

Take your words,

your abuse....

somewhere else.
