just another love poem

I knew it wouldn't last too long

I knew we'd fall apart.

I was ready for the change of mind

but not the change of heart.

I didn't think I'd fall again

it's been too many years

until the day I felt the sting

of one solitary tear

The tear ran down my cheek and fell.

It landed on my heart.

I guess it just makes sense to fall

to where it got it's start.

not bad...not bad at all...in fact it's exactly what i would look for in a poem as a reader. honesty and authenticity. didn't seam like you forced anything.

Oh, that is a wonderful compliment. Writing isn't easy for me, so to hear that it doesn't sound forced is really great! Thanks for stopping by and reading.
