Torn dreams haunt my sleep. A shattered heart disturbs my time awake. Despair comes to me in the estuary of these times. Her thin figure dancing across the edges of my vision. Her arms move toward me, her hands resting on my shoulders. I find solace in her dark hair and red eyes. I allow myself to be entranced by her sweet, alluring voice. Suddenly, solace gives way to uneasiness and I feel true despair. The human likeness in front of me dissipates in a puff of foul smelling smoke. And blood drips from my wrist.
