I fell upon words,

In my painful reply,

But ever since then,

I have just wanted to die.

What was going on,

Inside your head,

To hurt me like this,

And fill me with verbal lead?

I wish I asked,

Before I spoke,

But every moment now,

Feels like I am about to choke.

I feel stripped,

Robbed of my trust,

Removed of any care,

And left with only lust.

I want to know if you're okay,

I want to know if I can help,

But most importantly,

I want you to know how I felt.

I'm not okay,

But thanks for asking,

But don't leave me in this pain,

In which I am basking.

As someone who was there,

Who handed over the most,

How can you expect it to fade away,

Like a long-forgotten ghost?
