They say love is for anyone
That passion is for everyone
That everyone needs someone to hold
A shoulder to cry on
A shelter to lie upon
But my heart has been left out in the cold
I left my heart on the line
So fragile, so fine
Waiting for someone to love
My fists held tight
But deciding not to fight
I thought love was right for us all
While bridges would burn
And soon I would learn
That true love was agift from God himself
No one seemed to want me
Many seemed to taunt me
And tease me with foolish games
But I needed a lover
And soon no other
Would seem to take their place
Many would pass
Few would last
And soon I found myself lone bound
And so I found out
What this was truely about
Their weren't enough soulmates to go around
They say love is for anyone
That passion is for everyone
That everyone needs someone to hold
A shoulder to cry on
A shelter to lie upon
Now my heart is a story often told
