The sun is setting on another humid day,

But the season has come to an end.

Cool dark winds blow.

Nature brings harsh exhilerating pain.

Dry eyes wince shut and reopen,

Glazed over now and wet.

A drop runs, but breezes rush,

Tears dry, and Time passes by and by.

To feel now the Sun on my face, I smile.

But the days are too short to savor.

Fall has come again far too soon,

And winter will be upon me again.

In time Winter will break.

Memories will fade and I will learn,

I can't always hide in Yesterdays.
