One of my first written works.

The Decision

A lone man travels through a forest

Drifting along a path cast down by silver moon light

A traveler with no destination

He rides a pale, silent horse

Following death as it leads him afar

Passing crippled trees and dancing shadows

As the grim world grew more and more dim

Death wearing a cloak woven from uncertainty

Fades in, out, between

The realms of reality and illusion

A faint glimmer of warmth

Works it way from beneth pressing darkness

Death shows him two roads

A hidden path quickly fading

Leading to a choice undone

A choice reborn
