The Owl
Sitting in the woods, one dark and lonely night,
I hear the waters flowing down its narrow plight.

The wind is blowing through the tree's.
Sounds like its whispering, something to me,

Then I see an Owl, off in the distance,
Chasing a Mouse, with his deadly persistence.

He catches the Mouse, and flies through the tree's,
I wonder where he's going, I wish I could see.

I walk to the water now, and sit by it's edge,
And watch it ripple over each and every ledge.

I wonder where it's going, I wonder where it's been,
Could it be that there's no possible end.

Then I here a snapping twig, and shuffling of leaves,
Here comes the Owl, flying through the trees.

He lands on the branch, up above my head,
I wonder what he's doing now, since he has fed.

He look's down upon me, from his tree,
With a look of intense curiosity.

He's probably wondering, why I'm in his home,
So I'll go and leave him alone.
