death. the way you react

Im choking back the tears that keep spilling down my cheeks,

No matter how you try death still seems to take defeat.

Your body is shaking matching mine on the earthquake Richter scale.

I can feel your pulse, its barely there but then it stops to fail.

I can hear a voice screaming in the distance for you to please wake up,

Only then I realise the voice is mine not one I just made up.

Tears freely fall from cheeks so cold and splash onto pale skin,

The skin of yours, so soft and pale, touching could almost be a sin.
