one silly mistake changed womans life

She hunched herself up, ready for a long night

Cold, wet and lonely, with no hope in sight

She took a hit, to block it out, in a second this all went,

The worry, the sadness, as the strong effect meant

She would be too off her head to feel any pain

Her eyes rolled back into her skull, she felt herself drain

Slumping back on her soiled bed  now this is her life

Urinating herself, alone in a hostel, just a doss house.. a dive

Surrounded by fellow  no hopers, with nothing at all

No family, no friends, not one person to call

The only common ground they all share apart from their scruffy attire

There all there when  she scores all chumming up by the fire

As long as shes scored, shes sent out her mind

Theyll take it anyway regardless,  the money to buy it is to hard to find

When your a male anyway, she will do anything at all

To get a bit of dolla, she props up against a wall

Shuts her eyes lets them all do what they please

She lost her respect  and her morals it now was a breeze

All she wanted was more of her true love

Without him would be hell, too much never enough

Without him to help her it would all flood right back

To the one wrong choice that sent her completely of track

That sunny day as a tean with so much a head

Trusting the one person who wouldn’t care if she were dead

But she trusted him thought he was her only true friend

He did this to her, he brought her life to an end

She was just a kid, young and naive,

He  made it sound harmless, and cool to good thing to leave

Just the one have a shot we will have such a good trip

Why did she give in, she was so stupid, a gullible drip

Why did he do that, what was he trying to gain

Cos he was hooked, she would be too my life never the same

I had a family, a house, a future, a life, had it all

He took that all from me, he wanted me to fall

After that first shot didn’t no that was all it would take

For the drug to take hold, and cause so much heart ache

She loved her family so much, but from that day forth

Never went home, chased this dream, showed no guilt or remorse

He watched her slip out of her mind, a smug grin on his face

He owned this girl now, she was his he had power to embrace

His plan had worked he had won over her trust

Promiced her a good life full of passion and lust

Everyday full of never ending fun

She was oblivious to the reality that was to become

He shared her around with man after man

At first she refused, tried to escape, this wasn’t their plan

He found her, he fumed, beating her black and blue

Said hed kill her if she tried it again, and he was serious too

No option was left, no other way out

She needed him to provide her with this drug she would crumble without

She had no choice but to do what he say

Which had got her to be like this, to be seen in such a damaged way

One thing we all have, that we think could never be took

Is our pride

But sadly she found she could not keep that either, everything about her had died

For years this was her, been pimped from pillar to post

She did awful things, anything desperate for the thing she need most

The hold got stonger, she kept needing more

If she was good, he would ration her, still she was a whore

He chained her to a wall when she didn’t have a job

In her soiled clothes, humiliated she let out a sob

Why have you done this, you were meant t be a friend

He laughed in her face told her it was all just pretend

He needed money, to continue to use

Then she landed in his lap, young and naive, and with so much to loose

He could of chose a low life no hoper instead, but having this control gave him kicks, she was too easily led

Now here hiding in squaller she finally ran free

Though no one to run too, no future to see

She still had a habit to fund now and to survive on her own

The only way she knew how was to offer her body to anyone her craving had grown

She had escaped from one monster, but this one was to much

She led back, stared up no longer fazed by mens touch

She had only one thing left she could negotiate

They do what they want, not one cared for her state

Not one wanting to care for her, love her, or even care how she got here

No conversation was made,  just did what they came for, after a skinful of beer

Some were awful, some were smelly, some she even feared

Others had jobs, and famiies, not the kind she thought steared

with a loving wife waiting for him at the end of the day, still he came to her, a whore with no teeth, a stranger willing to pay,

it didn’t make sense to her, but she didn’t give a shit,

hed put a twenty in her hand, she could get her next hit.

Not even a goodbye was exchanged  as his car drove away

She could forget all this for a while, block out another day

Where she did what she could for survival but really its not

To feed herself, but clothes she will lay there and rot

In her own mess surrounded by flies as she not washed for a week

She wanted to be such a state she couldn’t speak

But it was still there even though shed lost all control

She remembered she once had a family, a life that was hole

She had no idea now where they would be today

The family home reminded them of their baby, who never returned home theres no way they could stay

She tried going back 4 years after she disappeared

Determined to get help from them, they could help protect her from all that she feared

But as she approached her old wooden door, it opened, someone came out, her mouth fell to the floor

She stepped back and hid as they walked out, her family looked happy, oblivious, maybe even  forgot

She put them through so much suffering now she seen it had stopped

She couldn’t go back now, she had no place with them no more

Prostitution was her life, to allow her to score

They would never understand, what she had become

They had such high hopes for her, this would be the end of her mum

She had to think of them now just like they aways had

They deserved to be happy, she deserved to be sad

That was the only time she tried to rid of her sins

Never to think back to what could of been.

Great story. Many spelling errors and a bit wordy. Nice conveyance of a sad story. You have pulled us readers in and kept us reading. Good story telling skills, Carlie. There is no happy ending to drug addiction.
