An actual poem I wrote to a prisoner.

Unless crudely calloused away with sin when

my imagined prisoner all but reaps can

he digest the inquietude within whilst I

restlessly wait in absence of sleep.

Seems an infinite mile this rile inducing plight all

thoughts provoking my parting each night.

Though nonexistent, your word so far true with

no other to compare I crossed my heart with an i.o.u.

The damaged reflection hides minds question within. One restless night is all I'd ask of you again.
