Life has changed beyond measure, We have parted so far and that is so clear; Fate has taken its turn in drifting us apart, And this I can say with a broken heart. We used to be close to be one I suppose, But there is nothing that needs to be disclosed, For we are two which is sadly true, But the reason is what has left me with no clue, My heart still longs for that soft touch, Foolish I presume, For the sweet memories is all that it has consumed, So my life is really hard to resume. With every rising dawn, I tell myself that the show must go on, So life moves with a dreadful pace, As my heart still stands in stance, Craving for the day it started to bloom, But not for the day it became gloom. Life teaches great lessons they say, But they forgot to mention it the other way, For with every lesson comes great pain, And that is all that I have gained. All through my life I have waited for you, Hoping on your every move, But no more will I cry, For my heart is not for you to pry. Leaving all that hurts I move forward, Only for your voice to hurt me more, When one day you called, Baby are you still cold.
