a reiterating pang

delinquent from my spine,

expounds on the valor of taking it hard

all the time

and

reminds me of my past villany

with an intensity that smokes,

renders me dust

and begets roses seasons later.

i find myself

choking a bit, water beside,

pivotingon the druggist's note,

then pale expertly in his advice.

swallowing endlessly some wretched lump or

the throat itself,

an ill language

is born to

the cradle of the tongue,

the tick of brain blood

in turn brought back to the temples.

 i mustn't gouge.

i must refuse sleep.

please

realize the pang is the in-patient, not i.

can you hear?

yes, but

i think for you to be alone would be malnourishing.

belly pain is a serious thing.

i

pray

a smothery silence

blooms soon,

loose from

our tentacled star

and bastardizing brain.

master me well

make me quiet,

relapse.

the world will not want us.
