Maw Maw dearest you have been and will always be

My grandmother so loving and so loved by me

For God has taken you to be by his side

Now in heaven is where you reside

You have blessed my life more than you know

I will cherish every memory until the day my life comes to an end

You left a little too soon and this wasn’t part of my plan

But God’s plan comes before mans

Without you I am traveling this road alone

No longer my guide, the way you have been

Even though your heart was weak, you were strong

I will always long for your loving embrace

God sent you to me as a very special gift from above

To teach me and shower me with your never ending love

I will never forget your wonderful, beautiful, smiling face

In my heart you have always had and will forevermore have an extremely special place

A special bond we did share

For this is possible for only granddaughters and grandmothers

I thank God for each day we shared together

But without you in my life is too difficult to think about

Being with God, I hope you find peace and joy
