HEATHER

Hello and welcome to The Game Show. I am your host Heather Rye and today we have two new contestants who will try to win the prizes we have for them. Please welcome our first guest, Sally Mae Lighthead. (Sally enters). Hello Sally why don’t you tell us a little about yourself.

SALLY

Hi, my name is Sally Mae Lighthead and I attend The University of Schools where my major is undecided.

HEATHER

Thank you Sally. Our next contestant is Rosie Feathers. (Rosie enters). Hello Rosie, go ahead and introduce yourself and the polka-dots to the audience.

ROSIE

Hi, my name is Rosie Feathers, I am a retired nurse and I now own my own jewelry business.

HEATHER

Thank you Rosie. The rules are simple I ask a question the first to buzz in answers. If the answer is correct you get five points, if it’s wrong you lose two points. Are you ready? First question, name the first man ever on the face of this earth. (Rosie Buzzes in) Yes, Rosie.

ROSIE

That would be Adam. (Heather doesn’t respond) Adam. The answer is Adam. Heather hello can you hear me?

HEATHER

Rosie I’m sorry, you’re gonna have to speak up; I can’t hear you over your outfit.

ROSIE

ADAM, the answer is ADAM!

HEATHER

You are correct. Next question, what is Tina Tuner’s real name? (Rosie buzzes in) Yes Rosie

ROSIE

Oh, man I just forgot it. (Thinking) Anna--

HEATHER

Times up. Sally, you may answer the question.

SALLY

Can I use a life line?

HEATHER

We don’t have life lines on this show.

SALLY

Oh. Well, can I buy a vowel?

HEATHER

Never mind. The answer is Anna Mae Bullock. Next question—

SALLY

Who’s Anna Mae Bullock?

HEATHER

Tina Turner.

SALLY

That doesn’t make since. How can Tina Turner be Anna Mae Bullock when she is Tina Turner?

HEATHER

Tina Turner is not her real name.

SALLY

Oh my gosh, why would she use a fake name.Is she under cover? Oh no we just blew her cover.

HEATHER

Tina Turner is her stage name.

SALLY

Why would her stage have a name? And why is she using her stage's name?

HEATHER

Sally

SALLY

What?

HEATHER

Shut up. Next question, (Buzzer sounded) oh, that means time is up. Since Rosie has the most points she will go on to the next round. Unfortunately Sally Mae Lighthead, who is living up to her last name, it’s time for you to go, but we do have some parting gifts for you.

SALLY

What type of gifts are they? And what are they parting from?

HEATHER

Thank you Sally, you may leave. (Sally exits) Are you ready for the second round?

ROSIE

Yes I am. I’m so excited.

HEATHER

Here are the rules. I ask a question you answer them. If you answer them correctly that is five points. For each one you answer correctly you are closer to the grand prize. If you don’t know an answer say pass.

ROSIE

What’s the grand prize?

HEATHER

Who cares? First question, what is one plus one?

ROSIE

Two.

HEATHER

Correct, where do oranges come from?

ROSIE

Orange trees.

HEATHER

Correct, why did the chicken cross the road?

ROSIE

To get to the other side.

HEATHER

Correct, why did you wear that polka-dotted mess?

ROSIE

Excuse me.

HEATHER

Why did you wear that polka-dotted mess?

ROSIE

Why are you being so rude to me?

HEATHER

I ask the questions, and you answer them, why did you wear that polka-dotted mess?

ROSIE

I demand an apology.

HEATHER

So do I.

ROSIE

What did I do?

HEATHER

You wore that outfit.

ROSIE

I am going to call the producer of this show and complain about you.

HEATHER

And I’m gonna call the Make-Over Show and nominate you. (Rosie exits). That’s all the time we have on The Game Show. Come back tomorrow, or don’t.
