Down into the deep,
Lost from bare sight,
My broken heart hides in fright.
That dark, cold soul left me alone,
Alone to face the horrific unknown.
Should I succumb to the pain,
All my endeavor will end in vain.
At every turn, death haunts my blinded mind,
While the very fabric of life starts to unwind.
Falling forever into a black chasm of deep hatred,
Sinking into a sea of rage,
Will I ever break the bars of this gruesome cage?
Becoming insane, Laughing at all the shame,
Ending all fear, Ending all pain,
Ending all life, Ending in vain.

Reading this brings me back to a darker time in my life that I try and keep down deep. Once again so beautiful, but also tragic and heartbreaking, great job.

It also reflects a darker past of mine as well. But for me, it serves as a reminder that I pulled through. And I owe that victory to the Man Upstairs. I wouldn't be here without his help and company.

I like the your poem "Ending in Vain". I found it interesting how life was associated with fear and pain, yet Death was going to end all of it.

Hey, great write....the feeling is so real coz I'm at that place now and it's sharing stuff like this that keeps me going...it feels like holding hands as we try to help each other through the eye of the storm...keep it up...this is deep

This is a haunting and deep piece. Everything was told so wonderfully, and I could feel the emotion through it. I like how it has rhyming stanzas and a nice flow at the same time. I can definitely relate to this piece, as I have felt this way many times before. Keep up the good work! :)
