A A A

In the night, she ventured too far.

Tears were falling the color of tar.

All that she once had known,

It was torn away, forever gone.

Without a choice,

Without a voice,

She was left alone with nothing to rejoice.

Blindly she staggered into an open field.

To every danger, she did not yield.

From each corner of death's ghastly keep,

Black, disfigured monsters began to leap.

With a blade,

From silver made,

Every beast's death was swiftly played.

Under the moon, shadowed and pale,

Beside dark water, shrouded in a misty veil,

He had eyes of black, skin of snow,

Scars revealing a bloody show,

A heart so cold,

A soul so old,

But from this came a love so bold.
