Oceans churn in revengeful rage.

Once more a ship is trapped within its cage.

Mortal lives claimed by Calypso's hand,

Never again to venture on dry land.

Where once desires were given in gold purse,

Immortality was only gained by curse.

Fate washed up along the sea's shores,

And God slammed shut all open doors.

Down within the Underworld,

Hades's fire and brimstone swirled.

Lost souls screamed out in horrible pain

While Persephone shed a tear for those to be slain.

Hellhounds burst forth from the fiery mass

Trampling spirits like broken glass.

Their jagged teeth shredded flesh

Causing blood and fire to mesh.

Satan cackled in wretched glee

As pitiful beings attempted to flee.

Not even one made such a failed escape

For horrid beasts snatched them up by the nape.

To malicious ends, they did fall,

And darkness shadowed over all.
