TO WHOM SHOULD UNFORTUNATE EVENTS HAPPEN TO?

Her peace was stolen from her
Her hope was murdered
Her contemptiness was taken in her presents
Her life was blown away from her
Her freedom was broken; her dreams were frozen in mid-summer

She couldn’t be loud enough her mouth was closed
Somebody heard but no body cared
In these days, not even her mother can restore her smile,
Her father can only make it narrower
By asking to play ‘sex games’ with her, when at all she never wants to.
A second wont pass without tears on her face.

She cries everyday, even in her dreams.
She tries so hard to mend the pieces of her broken life,
But how can she, when she lives under the roof of her trouble?
Her broken heart won’t be at ease till she finds peace.
She is afraid to sleep; even to fetch food from the kitchen is too much.
Her troubles smiles in the streets, and away from the attention of people
It’s horror.

No one believes her, she is too beautiful
To be in such a situation, she is ashamed and feels dirty
What’s the way forward for her? I guess she have to see her self out
Just like her other two friends, her aunt, her teacher her god mother even her mother

In our country it takes death for a single action
I wonder how many women and lady girls have to say no
For men to hear, or should they die in silence?
Just to make men listen
I wonder how many mothers should loose their daughters
I wonder what will it take to stop them
I wonder if at all they will stop

Not even law can stop them
It sometimes keeps them, and feed them with our money
Just for a while then let them back to the public
What will it take to stop them? 16 days?
It’s not enough, never has it been
Remember if you break a girl’s heart, it might take for
Ever to mend

She was raped and everybody was too busy to listen
Maybe your daughter/sister is next
You don’t wish to find a letter on the bed while she is suspended
From above
South Africa, stop taking all the space of little girls
They have no where to go.
