Well, I love thunder storms. Especially when the power goes out:) Just came to my head so I wrote:)

I hear the thunder clap and roar,

But I am not afraid,

I find it rather calming,

Though you probably think that's strange,

The lightning is my reading lamp,

Because the power goes out,

The thunder, music to my ears,

Because the screen on my iPod is worn out,

I sit in my bed,

In the dark,

Unable to be scared,

Because there's no dreaming,

No nightmares,

Just the soothing thunder storm.

How soothing. I really enjoyed the way you describe thunderstorms. If someonecdid not like them, they would sure gain an appreciation for them after reading this, nice work.

I enjoy thunderstorms as well, I like standing out on my porch watching them for at least an hour until it starts getting really bad. Great poem by the way.
