His eyes opened - and along with them, his madness. His irises, as empty as the plane before him, saw everything and nothing. This was reality. This was his reality.

He told his mind to be still, for it was trembling. It obeyed unquestioningly; as any good mind should. With that, he began to wander into the null. He noticed that with this newfound clarity and confidence, he was able to imagine. A simple geometric shape. A circle. It sat before him. He was overjoyed.

A sleeping man cannot understand such joy. Imagine. What sat before him was of nothing. A sleeping man's mind is cluttered with irrelevant thoughts. So bloated is his mind, that there is no room for imagination.

He sat down alongside his circle. Together, the two sat in emptiness.
