A short poem using the symbolism of a weak bridge over a river to describe depression, and how some people can make it across or fall into the river and sort of drown in their sadness.

There's a pipe across this stretch of water

That the faithless tend to cross.

I watched my brother slip from it,

So I call it the "Bridge of Loss".


And though it's rusted and frail as it is,

It manages to grow its moss.
