How Dare We...
By:Charles Vollmer

How dare we take for granted
what we have?
Knowing that many others can't
have the same luxuries as us.
How dare we talk down on others
to hide our own feelings,
our own imperfections.
How dare we be so ignorant,so blind.
Hiding all our feelings behnd our
eyes.
Knowing that one day they'll
all seep out.
In small shallow cries for help.
How dare we complain about
the lives we live,
knowing someone has it
ten times as worst then us.
How dare we,How dare we.

Very well written.

great job! ive tried to write about this topic (taking things for granted when some people have nothing, people who talk down to others because of their insecurity with themselves, etc.) quite afew times and it has always come off sounding fake and stiff. your poem flows nicely and still gives the message. i like it a lot. if you ever have time i would love it if you could check out some of my work. thanks :)
amazing! this question falls upon my mind everyday, im glad im not the only one who thinks of it... nice poem =)
