The howling wind engulfs me,

As I tread towards the light.

Louder and louder the light calls to me,

The wind intensifies,

And throws me aside.

Faster and faster I struggle to be free,

To strive towards the light,

But my limbs are as cold as ice.

Softer and softer the wind cries,

Slackening it’s grip over me,

Stronger than the wind I have become.

A light breeze kisses my cheek,

I look to the sky,

The light I was reaching for surrounds me,

I embrace this warm relief,

The storm is nothing but a memory,

It has passed,

Yet the memory shall not be forgot.

The sun shines brilliantly,

Sending dazzling rays of optimism,

In every which way.
