Please help me,

and erase my mind?

Could you reach out to me?

Turn back time?

I'm savoring this reverie of

the ghost of a scent I knew from the past.

It didn't remind me of love,

though I'm not sure how long it shall last...

My hopes all lie shattered,

but I'm piecing it together again,

we we're supposed to be,

No matter where we end up, I'll be your friend.

I was the puzzle piece that didn't quite fit,

so I ran away like a rebel,

but you were out to find me and you didn't quit.

Then we clicked, it was unevitable.

I'm that one that stands out in the crowd,

because I rely on the unreliable.

I'm a lot different with no one around,

I deny the undeniable.

And as I can see, this will be the spring

that nothing blooms,

It doesn't matter how loud we sing,

because it won't change soon.
