Time:

Such a fickle friend,

A snail whizzing past.

Moments of pleasure

Seem like forever.

Yet minutes creep by fast.

Moments of burden

Hand-cramps worsen,

The clock seems to slow!

Outlines and notes blur my sight,

Yet three more hours to go!

Moments of stress,

Life's many tests.

One's mind racing the bell.

Too bad one can't rush

(you'd might as well flush

Your chances of doing well)

Apples will fall,

Trees will grow,

But time will need no heir.

(Well, some say otherwise,

But let's not go there.)
