At about 2.00am, sprawled on the sofa fast asleep. Loud knock came at the door; weakened by the alcohol earlier I couldn’t gather the strength to open up. A colossal sound shattered the front door and massive light shone on me. I was arrested.

Series of questions came at the interrogation room, that moment I knew the importance of minor details. Finally I was allowed to go home but told not to travel until the investigation was over. The police think I had motives to kill Joe because he slept with my Natasha even though he was my best friend and being the last to see him the night before that, but we made up with the drinks but no one believes that.

The first and second court hearing came and since no substantial evidence, there will be a last hearing. The killer wasn’t that smart after all, the tiniest piece of evidence set me free. It happened that Joe wasn’t even his real name he was a drug dealer who wanted out but I didn’t care again. I picked few personal things and headed for the train station without looking back to escape this awful past.
