Dark and storming outside
And inside me, as well.
But many waters cannot quench love.
Rains cannot wash it away.
My tears only sizzle in the fire.

Recalling the depth of your eyes
Like quiet pools of dark light,
And the way your warmth
Washed over me in an instant,
Illuminating my core like lightning.

Your kiss shook my foundation
Like thunder rumbling on.
The sweetest voice filled my ears
And your scent was my ecstasy.
I still yearn to feel your skin on mine.

Your words are like raindrops,
Most sweet and gentle,
Some hard and painful
As they rain upon my heart.
Bring on the storm again.
