"This is becoming a problem," she whispered---
But no one was there
To hear her.

She continued to look in the mirror,
A reflective object she doesn't hold very dear---
'Thousands of flaws.' She's always thinking this.

The thoughts in her head
Are constantly combating with the things that she said---
"So, maybe I was wrong. But that doesn't mean anything."

She doesn't want to eat---
Or hear her heart beat---
She doesn't want to even speak or breathe...

She just wants to be called pretty for once.
She doesn't care if it takes a year or a month---
She just wants to be comfortable with herself...

Her idea of beauty has been warped though---
She used to not care about keeping her weight low.
Now, it's all she can think about.

It's beginning to consume her whole life,
And it's exactly like self-harm; just a different kind of knife.
Maybe, if someone can catch her, it'll be enough...

But no one was there
To hear her---
"This shouldn't be a problem," she said...
