Ceidon's Booksie Challenge

Ok, so I have decided to create my own Booksie writing challenge :). So, here's how it works: You will be given four words or phrases. The first word or phrase will be random;. The second and third word or phrase will be objects that must be included in your piece. Thefourth word/phrase will be the theme. It does not have to be the major/main theme, but it does have to be present in the work. You might want to, but do not have to, underline, italicize, or bold the required word and two objects.

Guidlines:

  • The first word/phrase must be included in the piece
  • The two objects given must be present in the piece
  • The theme must be present in the piece
  • Please included "Ceidon's Challenge" in your title (or the description) and comment me when the piece is finished & ready.
  • Please keep it PG to PG-13

::Results::

First off, I would like to say thank you to all of you who participated. You all did a great job & were very creative with your entries. (which consequently made the judging very hard ;))

I am aware of how difficult this contest could be. Some of the words people got were rather hard to fit together, others just seemed a little more fluid. To those who got words that were closely related, or fit together well already, I kept that in mind and judged you harder for that (only fair to the ones that got unrelated words). I had a hard time judging & they were all very good, but here is my results:

First place: Kutasimoto with his entry "Cold as It is Beautful"

Second place - tied! with with Cris's "Silence of the Rain" & cross my heart & hope to die's "Cry your eyes out"

Third Place - Bethan's "I'll be Watching"

Honorable mentions: (these were also good & so hard to judge. really wanted to put some of them up there ^^: Barbiedoll's "Open Your Eyes" & Brill's "Like a Star in the Sky"

as promised, the first place winner will now give me a required word, two objects, & a theme. Also, congrats & pats on the back to Kutasimoto!

good job everyone! loved your entries!

*********************************************

I will judge the pieces and pick my favorite. There is not much of a reward but here it is: you get to assign me the same thing: one word or phrase, two objects, and a theme, then I will have to make a piece given that...should be interesting... oh, & a pat on the back.

You have until Jan 20 to submit your piece,a poem or short story (or short novel, novella). You can enter any time, so long as it is in by Jan 20. If you would like to enter, please comment on this page, and I will visit your profile to give you your guidlines.

Oh, and the most important guidline, have fun!!

...judging is underway...

please let me know when you have submitted your entries so that I can update this list... I think this is it. please let me know if I forgot yours so that I can put it in here.
