Poem by: celeron22

Summary

A realisation that if they don't get out of this abusive relationship now, they will always remain a shell, just a shadow of themselves

A tear spills slowly,

Poison seeps into my heart,

Sorrow creeps into my soul,

You pulled my world apart.

You tore asunder,

My already frail pride,

You battered, bruised,

Cheated and lied.

Made me hate my own reflection,

Claw at my own skin,

All because I loved you,

Was that was my biggest sin?

Well I've certainly learned my lesson,

And from you , i have to leave,

Otherwise,there will be no me,

And you, i will have to believe.

No more tears to spill now,

No more blood to bleed,

I'm finally out of your clutches,

I have finally been freed.
