I loved you before you ever opened your eyes,

I loved you before you  took your first breath,

I loved you in all the glory of life,

I'll love you in the finality of Death.

I loved you before you ever smiled,

Before I heard your childish cry,

Before I opened my welcoming arms,

To cradle you with joy.

You came from my body,

From my aching soul,

You made my life complete,

You made me whole.

My time with you,

Though not very long,

Was cherished and precious,

Like a bird in song.

I loved everything about you,

Your beautiful baby eyes,

Your tiny little fingers,

Your tired sighs.

I've lost you now,

But I'll find you again,

When I do,little Angel,

We'll be together forever then.

You're the part of me that's missing,

And I'll never let you go,

In life and in death,

I'll always love you so.
