The Wickedness of Life

Poem by: celeron22

Summary

Why does the world have to be so full of hatred and hurt? In today's world, most of the old-fashioned morals that were instilled in me as a child are practically non-existent. Just a musing on the way of life! Hope you enjoy!

Darkness falls on foreign lands,

The force of power behind evil hands,

Abhorrent traits of nature, flawed,

Eternity, an ugly pause.

Twisted fates of strangers loom,

Poverty, crime, spell their doom,

Destestation, violence, hate,

Rife today, seals our fate.

The morals of life, strewn aside,

The miracle of life suddenly dies,

So today we stand, at war, in strife,

The miracle of birth, The Wickedness of Life.
