I think of yesterday,

And I want to smile,

I think of today,

And I want to cry,

Tomorrow I'll change,

I'll hold my head high,

I'll return their gaze,

And beam with pride.

Yesterday I loved you,

And you loved me too,

We spoke of the past,

And the future too.

Today you're gone,

Left with no consideration,

Never told me what had happened,

What you thought, what I'd done.

Tomorrow I'll dry my eyes,

Thank the Lord I found out,

Just the kind of person you are,

What you're all about.

Yesterday and today,

All revolved around you,

Tomorrow and the future,

Are all about someone new.
