You fell in my life like cool water in my mouth...
and I partook of you until my thirst was quenched
...feeling you run over my tongue and down my throat
great swallows spilling over as my lips were drenched

Then I changed...
I moulded,
I folded,
myself
...and became that I thought
you wanted me
to be
and I was ...
not me

Once again I began to feel my thirst for you...
then found my well had long run dry -
without a single drop left it left me parched
just a faint echo of the question why

So I change...
I mould,
I fold
... and become what you
cannot recognise,
for you despise
this disguise
.... which is really me
