a poem i wrote about a girl i spent a night with. me coming to terms with her ignoring me after and acting as if it never happened. the title is a hint at who it is.

i saw her just yesterday

she didn't  extend  her hand

couldn't resist a hello.

i hope she understands

love doesn't happen

not always

or for everyone

i saw her for the first time

she passed me in the night a shadow

i just had to turn my twisted head

that perfect silhouette

she cast across my bed

love doesn't happen

not always

or for everyone

i saw her and she thought i could dance

pressed up against me

i knew not to take this chance

couldn't resist a kiss.

the sweet poetry of her lips

she scared me she took my hand

there's never a moment i want to forget

none of the beautiful things she said

i guess we had something

now i guess its dead

love doesn't happen

not always

or for everyone

i saw her just yesterday

she didn't extend her hand

couldn't resist a hello.

hope she understands
