You gave me life.

You brought me hope.

I started to love,

and you took that away.

With every lie you murmured,

with every advantage you took,

I got lost in a foreign world,

and with truths uncovered I plummeted to the end.

And now you kneel before me,

proclaiming your regrets of my mistreatment,

asking for my hand again.

And here I stand before you,

broken and confused,

wishing I could forgive you,

but never will again.
