A A A

After our little conversation, I went out for a fag, I was thinking about all this shit, I had like a thousand ideas in my head and it was all going too fast, even for me, I couldn't catch up with my thoughts.. so I have decided to put all of this on “paper”, thought it might be easier for you to get my point cause I'm not much of a smooth talker.

There are three words that you're gonna hear over and over and they are: REASON, HUMANITY and NATURE bit hard to find a synonym for these words so you'll just have to bear with me.

Deism is the conclusion that God exists based on reason, experience and observation of the natural universe.

To get started, I'm gonna “try” to break down some of your religious terms.

A revelation is a Divine or supernatural disclosure to humans of something relating to human existence or the world. I do believe that god is “revealed”to humankind through the order and complexity of the natural universe. But I reject special revelations, which are divine knowledges granted by god or angels to an individual or small group of human beings.

Revealed religions( dyanat el samawia): a religion founded primarily on divine communication made by god to select individuals.

Now that we got this clear let's get to the core of deism.(i'm gonna write this down on the form of commas well cause i'm too stupid)

  • Belief in a single creator based on REASON.

  • The order and complexity of nature and the universe make god self-evident.

  • God's full nature is incomprehensible due to limitations of the human mind and language.

  • God gave humanity reason and conscience so we could develop our own moral and ethical principles.

  • Human beings should be free to find, know, and worship god I their own way. And all views MUST be respected as long as they do not harm or oppress the views of others?

  • All human beings are created under equal under god, with the same natural rights.

  • Deism is more like religions when it comes to good sens but unlike them it is not perverted with superstition and claims of selective revelations.

Early anthropologists have described deists as shy atheists, but I couldn't disagree more, I think that human failure to recognize a power greater than ours is true ignorance.

Now let's get to morals. In every conversation that we have you always mention morals.

The idea that Deists have no reason to be moral without a religion may be the most popular and repeated myth about deism out there. It comes up in a variety of forms, but all of them are based on the assumption that the only valid sources of morality are revelated books. Since I don't believe in the “Holiness” of these scriptures, I believe that values, including morality come from people just like us The morality found in scriptures of various religions are similar, even if the theology is very different. The common thread of morality in these different theologies are the people who wrote them. Just like any of those people, I share the same sense of morality. The morality of people that don't believe in religions or in god(atheists) is in a sense more noble than the morality of people that do. While religious people believe that god will punish them for immoral acts and reward them for moral acts, we(atheists, deists ans agnostics) have no motivation to be moral other than our own innate sense of morality. It is morality for its own sake, not out of fear for punishment or desire for reward.

Now, that we cleared that point, let's get to my beliefs.

I must have heard this question a thousand times.

What do you believe in ?

-I believe in the immortality of our souls.

-I believe that god does not interfere in our earthly buisness(no miracles)

-I believe that GOD the all mighty that created all of this, doesn't need to be worshipped, I mean he's the all mighty, why would he need you to praise him all the time ?

-I don't believe in prayers, there are trillions and trillions of prayers every day asking and begging and pleading for favors. Oh god please do this n gimme that n I want a new car n I want a better job i'm like ok you can pray for anything if it makes you feel better. But...what about the divine plan? You think that you can just come in now and just pray for something. Well, suppose the thing you want isn't in god's divine plan. What do you want him to do? Change his plan? Just for you? Doesn't it seem a little arrogant? It's a divine plan !! now let's suppose that your prayers aren't answered. What do you say? Well it's god's will. God's will be done. Fine, but if it gods will and he's going to do whatever he wants to anyway; why the fuck bother praying in the first place? Seems like a big waste of time to me. Couldn't you just skip the praying part and get right to his will?

-I don't believe in hell. Religion has actually convinced people that God watches everything you do every minute of every day of your life. And has has a list of things he does not want you to do. And if you do any, any, of these things, he has a special place full of fire and smoke and ash and torture where he will send you to suffer and burn and scream and cry forever until the end of time!

...But he loves you !

-I believe that god loves us all.

-I believe that you should do good (and don't tell me how will you tell the difference between what's good and what's bad cause I already discussed this point).

-I believe that can do ANYTHING you want, as long as it doesn't harm anyone or anything.

-I believe in humanity.

-I also believe that god gave us this precious gift”intelligence” and “reason” and we should use them to build our own perception of the world.

And that's it....I guess.. :) I hope I've answered all your questions.

Here's to HUMANITY and REASON !
