That’s My Boy

He was born in April morning light; I was tired from being up all night,

A handsome boy with jet-black hair, reached out to me as I stood there.

Come and see this is my son, the day that I told everyone,

That’s my Boy!

As time goes by I realize, a look of wonder in your eyes,

Underdog and Superman could never do what my dad can!”

Come and walk with me my son, today your life has just begun.

That’s my boy.

You grow up and I get old, so many stories yet untold,

Football games and fast cars, your hopes and dreams will take you far,

My heart will always be with you, pass it on to your son too.

That’s my boy…
