I've been reading poems on Booksie and thought I'd have a go myself. Stories in rhyme are sometimes a bit more challenging but I did enjoy writing it.

I love you more than fairy dust.

I love you more than fairy dust
She said when the sky was high
I love you more than fairy dust
But it was just a lie.

I love you more than a dragon's eye
She said as I took her hand
I love you more than a dragon's eye
As I put on the wedding band.

I love you more than butterflies wings
She said as she begged for more
I love you more than butterflies wings
So said the two faced whore.

I love you more than a unicorn's horn
She whispered as I took her life
I love you more than a unicorn's horn
Cried my poor departing wife.

I loved her more than fairyland
The place we could never return
I hated her more than the kingdom we'd left
And as I watched her burn.

The mythical beasts of our yesteryear
Came to say their goodbyes
And as I watched her sail away
No tears came to my eyes.

She was my life, she was my love
She took without no give
If only she'd have stayed at home
I might have let her live.
