It's the beginning.

Bottling up: attempt

I pour all these feelings in black and white,
Line by line I strip them off my lips.
My chest gets tight,
I know they can no longer stay for keeps.

I put the pages in a bottle,
A red ribbon tied to it.
Threw it into the sea,
And watched it drift away.
Further and further it went,
Heart aching, breaking.
Twilight
I no longer see the waves.

In the mist,
A splash in the sea
I swam hard,
Grabbing the bottle,
Pressing it against my chest,
Till I became aware
Of the soft, weak thumping of the heart.

Shivering in the water,
Hating myself for not letting go.
I cried.

P.s. The pages are reopened
