My boyfriend may have cancer and I'm just getting out how I'll feel later on if something bad happens

You’re a flower

Cancer is an unforgiving sun

Your wilting

And burning

In front of everyone

Your petals are falling

You’re begging to be saved

But I’m planted in the ground

I can’t move to be your shade

If it was me, instead of you

Well that’d be okay

But I’ll be seeing you soon

I'm sorry that things are rough. I know when life decides to give you the finger, it can be tough to go through. If (HUGE IF!) something bad does happen, remember this:

"When you think you've hit rock-bottom, just remember that you can't possibly go any lower, and that the only way is up."

I know me bringing this up may seem pessimistic, but the truth is life can take dark, unexpected turns. I can't say "Well don't worry little girl, I'm sure everything will be perfectly fine," because everything in this world isn't full of rainbows and unicorns. Times can be hella cruel, and this is just one example of that. I don't want you to become anxious about it, just aware. It's been a phrase that's helped me get through times of depression.

I seriously hope nothing but the very best for you both. Try your hardest not to let this break your spirits.

Amazing poem. Let me know how things work out.
