A lady walking down the dark road,

Walking herself home,

She looks happy-

She seems to have no worries.

-

Inside of her are burning desires-

If only she could fly,

Then she would soar high,

Soar with the birds of the sky!

-

She is envied by many,

Not because of what the eyes could see-

Such elegance and beauty,

But of her strong will and positivity,

-

As she took the path less traveled,

Where none can see her,

And with a sad lament she can’t bear-

Tears are streaming down her face.

-

The forlorn emotions have now aroused!

The engraved sentiments rooted within-

Her pretense, all that she is,

For the sake of the people whom she cherished!

-

Her hands sored of so much work.

Her body ached of pain unconquerable.

Her heart broke of anxiety not revealed.

Her soul crushed of burdens too heavy.

-

A lady walking down the dark road-

She goes by the name of Lydia.

A lady of vigor in the discernments of other people,

If only they could perceive that she’s in deep trouble.

-

She stopped alongside a small house,

Coming from the inside is a tiny beam of light

And the silhouettes of beings waiting for her return-

Sleepy in thought but alive in senses!

-

She wiped her tears,

And entered her home,

She smiled once more ignoring the sting-

She’s trying to bury it within for she needs to be strong!

-

To show her weakness she cannot afford-

Her mother and little siblings depend on her.

Their happiness is her concern-

Embraces followed, her hurts swept away!
