What did I ever do?

To be black and blue.

Sitting here on the bathroom floor;

While you’re kicking in the door.

Tears running down my battered face.

I’m in such a daze.

The world only sees a happy smile.

When all the while.

I am dying inside.

I just want to get off this ride.

What did I ever do?

To be treated like something stuck on your shoe.

Day by day,

I just want to fly away.

I want to be free.

And I want you to love me.

What did I ever do?
