This is my first ever poem. It was written after a few fruit ciders and a glass of red wine. Please tell me what you think. Honest opinions please. Thanks!

To live, to love, to never age
To mask the smell of bitter days
To block the pain and see the cage
To never see a shallow grave

The love, the life, the better days
The walks, the drugs, the latest craze
The pain, the cage, the shallow grave
The cliff, the sea, the crashing waves

I see, I saw, she never came
She loved, she left, I lie in shame
The cliff, the sea, the crashing waves
To float, to never hurt again

To block the pain and see the cage
To never see a shallow grave
