Old Madrid

There exists a rhythm,

That contains sensous pleasure,

Interlaced with the warmth of the sun,

It blends with the lightest of rains.

Those full red lips,

the contour of the town

The movement of her hips,

Liveliness in which it's found.

White wine, whose taste consumes,

and her breath,

the aftertaste of anise,

Tunes that pierce the heart.

Traveler on the old Roman road,

whose eyes contemplate immortality,

the soul gladly beholds,

Her form and wondrous vitality.
